Keti Arakhamia

Grandmaster Keti Arakhamia (Georgia, b.1968) won the world junior chess championship for girls in 1985. She was Georgian ladies’ champion in 1983, 1984 and 1990. She won several medals in the Russian and later represented the Georgian ladies team in both the Olympiad and European team championships. In 1996 she married IM Jonathan Grant and moved to Scotland. In 2003 she became joint Scottish champion, with Paul Motwani and she won the British ladies’ championship in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007. In July 2011 she won the Scottish championship with 7 point out of 9 games.
